A pool float pump gets the setup moving: choose your power source, fit a snug nozzle and inflate your float until firm. A few jobs before the very serious business of doing nothing.
The Acquaboss Electric Air Pump has a multi-nozzle adaptor, a 240V electrical adaptor and 12V car-socket compatibility. Its high-volume airflow is designed for large inflatables.
How long does it take to inflate a pool float?
The pump product page says it quickly inflates large items, including blow-up mattresses and ACQUABOSS floats, “in minutes”. Planning a pool day with a Chiller Island, a Luxe Daydream or a Water Hammock? Get the pump and float out together before everyone starts claiming their spot.
How do you inflate your float with the pump?
Try this simple setup sequence in a dry spot away from the water:
- Choose your power source. Use a standard power point with the supplied 240V adaptor, or a 12V car cigarette lighter socket.
- Pick a snug nozzle. The multi-nozzle adaptor suits a range of inflatable sizes and shapes. Choose the attachment that sits snugly in your float's valve.
- Inflate until firm. Use the pump's inflating side and keep an eye on the float as it fills.
- Close the valve quickly. Turn off the pump, remove the nozzle and close the valve to keep the air in.
Follow the instructions supplied with your pump and float, and do not over-inflate past your float's instructions.
What goes where on a Water Hammock?
The Water Hammock inserts arrive separately and need attaching before first use. Put them in place before you switch on the pump:
- Put the wider cylindrical pillow, with the logo on its side, at the head end.
- Put the thinner pillow at the feet end.
- Position each insert onto the mesh, then inflate once it is in place.
Head end, feet end, then air. Much easier than wrestling an inflated pillow into place while your mates are already floating.
Can the pump deflate your float too?
Yes. The box identifies it as a two-way electric pump and an inflator/deflator. At pack-up, use the deflating side with the nozzle fitted to the float's open valve. Let the air out fully before folding the float away.

For a Water Hammock, leave the deflated inserts attached to the mesh for next time. Our guide to storing pool floats covers rinsing, drying and packing.
What should you keep together for next time?
Keep the pump, adaptors and instructions in one place. The Luxe Lounger uses an inflatable liner, so put the pump on your packing list when the lounger is coming along.
Then pick who gets the first turn. We can't help with that negotiation.
