How to store pool floats starts with a fresh-water rinse and a proper dry before packing away. For an Acquaboss Luxe Lounger, the care routine is rinse, dry completely and air. For a Water Hammock, the handy packing trick is to leave the deflated inserts attached.
Your float has done a fine day's lounging. Give it a few minutes of attention before you head inside.
1. Rinse your Luxe Lounger in fresh water
The Luxe Lounger product page gives a clear storage instruction:
Before storage always ensure rinsed in fresh water, completely dried and aired.
Start with the rinse, then give it room to dry and air. As a packing tip, tilt the float to let trapped water drain from around inserts, seams and folds. Open out any tucked-up sections so you can check them too.
2. Let it dry before you pack
Check the float itself before putting it away. Feel around the folds and seams, and give any damp spots more time to dry and air. A dry-looking top doesn't tell you what's tucked underneath.
Leave packing until the float is completely dry. No need to squeeze it into the bag just because you've finished your swim.
3. Deflate your Water Hammock with its inserts attached
The Acquaboss Water Hammock can keep its inserts attached for future use. Deflate them and leave them on the mesh when packing away. Fully detach them only when you're swapping in a replacement insert.

For pump-assisted pack-up, use the deflating side of the Acquaboss Electric Air Pump. Our pool float pump guide walks through the setup and deflation steps. Let the air out fully before you start folding.
4. Fold loosely and choose a dry spot
Try these simple packing tips once everything is dry and deflated:
- Fold loosely rather than forcing tight creases.
- Leave enough room in the bag or storage space to avoid cramming the float in.
- Choose a cool, dry spot away from sharp edges and pets.
- Keep the pump and its adaptors together, ready for the next pool day.
The Luxe Lounger can also be rolled up for transport, as its product page describes. Rinse, dry and air it before packing. If you already own a Luxe Float, its page gives the same rinse, dry and air instruction.
Is it okay to leave pool toys in the pool?
Take them out when you're done. A float left in the pool hasn't been rinsed in fresh water, dried and aired as the Luxe care instructions ask. Bring it out and start the pack-up while you're still in pool-day mode.
What if your Water Hammock needs a replacement insert?
The Water Hammock replacement inserts are sold individually for the head or feet. Check which end needs replacing before ordering.
With the float packed and the pump tucked away, you're ready for the next afternoon of doing very little.
